Estate’s of Sunnybrook – Jenn and Andrew’s Eco Friendly Wedding

Personalized Wedding Carabiner Table CardsJenn and Andrew met at a climbing gym and they both love the outdoors. They wanted to make sure to incorporate some climbing touches to the wedding, along with keeping it eco-friendly. To start off, their place card holders came along with personalized carabiners. I thought this was a very cute touch and I always appreciated a favour that is actually useful (Just a note that I also like when they’re tasty).

Their cake (made by a friend) also featured two intertwined carabiners, which was sweet.

I loved the alive plant centerpieces that guests took home and will likely have for years. Live plant wedding centerpiece

Lottery Ticket Bouquet TossMy favourite part of the day (other than the crazy dance party), was the bouquet toss. Not being one to discriminate (or to make all of the single ladies get on the dance floor), Jenn made a special tossing bouquet with scratch cards. She tossed her bouquet to the soundtrack of “Money, that’s what I want”, to all of her guests (male/female/single/taken) and instead of a man, the catcher received the potential to win millions ;). It was a great way to incorporate the bouquet toss tradition.

I’ve been to the Estates of Sunnybrook a few times now and every visit have been wonderful. We were in the Courtyard Ballroom which was a nice room and it has an outdoor patio available (although it happened to be a bit cool the night we were there).

The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive to me and the guests.

Austin Sagala was the videographer and he was great to work with 🙂

Or and Ryan’s Wedding Reception at Archeo

I don’t normally feature my customer’s weddings, but Or and Ryan’s was so much fun that I couldn’t help but show it off. Jovan Matic supplied the fantastic photos for this post. I’d highly recommend Jovan, as he is a great guy and the photos below speak for his abilities.

Or and Ryan had a beautiful ceremony at Arta Gallery.

The reception was just down the street at the wonderfully decorated Archeo restaurant.

I loved their idea of a specialty blend of coffee, specifically made for them and their guests as favours.

All their guests wanted to do was dance. We started off the night with an amazing hora where there wasn’t an inch of room left on the dance floor.

We then moved into dinner but continued to dance between courses.

After dinner was over, the dance floor was full until the happy couple decided that their feet had had enough and we ended with one of their favourite bands, Iron and Wine.

Just a note, that Ryan is also an awesome wedding photographer. Check out his site here: http://www.luminousstudio.ca/
